About Me.
I am an HCPC and BAAT registered Art Psychotherapist with Supervision training and introductory training in Mentalization Based Therapy.
I have over 8 years of experience working therapeutically and educationally alongside children and adults with complex needs in health, educational and social care settings. Working in a broad spectrum of settings has encouraged me to be as adaptable and open-minded as possible with my practice. My work employs the benefits of self-expression through the use of art materials thereby encouraging playfulness and spontaneity – this can be tailored to accommodate each person’s needs, individuality and therapeutic goals. I work Psychodynamically and holistically I have recently independently set up an art therapy practice in a special educational needs school and held short term therapeutic interventions for children with down's syndrome, autism, selective mutism and many more. In addition I work in an eating disorders clinic offering a variety of interventions to young adults with complex needs. EDUCATION
